The story behind the image
Schliersee is home to a small community of nature lovers, and it is easy to see why: its situated close to the mountains next to a beautiful lake (yes, the Schliersee.)
The community also takes care of not following the trend of placing buildings whereever there is a small free spot of land. No, it preserves larger meadows and also has no high rises.
So, when you are in the area and wondering what to do – why not do a side-trip by train to Schliersee and enjoy a walk around the lake (which can be done!), or do the short hike up to the Schliersbergalm and enjoy the panoramic view from up there.
