The story behind the image

In 2004 we traveled Switzerland for a week. We started in Zurich, made a stop in Berne to visit some friends, and concluded the trip in Luzern.

Luzern is a very old town located at the Vierwaldstätter See. With roughly 60,000 inhabitants it is one of the larger cities in Switzerland. The river Reuss flows gently through the city passing two wooden bridges on its way to the lake.

My image shows the historic Spreuerbrücke. It’s key highlight is the chapel Maria auf der Reuss that has been erected in the middle of the bridge.

Very nice.
