The story behind the image
We had never been to Pisa to see what must probably be one of the most photographed locations in the world: The Leaning Tower of Pisa. When we finally came around in 2012, it was very hot which probably was the reason for the relatively few visitors on the site. The place certainly is beautiful, and if you’ve got a chance, please plan some time for a visit.
I took this photo with our Ricoh CX1, a good point-and-shoot camera back in its hey-days. This photo is almost straight out of the camera. I still find it amazing that a relatively cheap camera could produce such high quality photos. Needless to say, you may discover flaws when you watch it at 100%. But then again, who would want to print an oversized poster from that?
All good for me, and this is what counts. Hehe.
