The story behind the image
We stayed at the Hotel Augusta in Malcesine for a couple of days. It is an affordable hotel situated above the village and provides beautiful views across the town of Malcesine and Lake Garda. It is just a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the town center with all the restaurants, shops and attractions. The view from our room was beautiful and we enjoyed stunning sunsets, even more so as we were on the same level as the castle.
One morning I captured the town while the sun was still casting long, harsh shadows that add depth to the image.
