The story behind the image
The Vancouver Lookout is definitely one of Vancouver’s key attractions and a must-see for visitors of the city. It’s a viewing platform that resembles a giant airport tower sitting 168 meters (553 feet) high above the ground in the city center. Its 360° view across the city and its surroundings can only be called stunning.
I captured this photo towards north-west, showing Vancouver downtown and the Stanley Park in the late afternoon. We had been to the platform earlier that day, in the late morning, and if you have to pick just one time slot, I’d recommend to come in the late afternoon because the lower sun creates nice reflections in the high rise buildings and the shadows provide depth to the photos.
Very nice.
