The story behind the image
Florence is a great destination for all seasons, but without doubt, it is most beautiful during summer. We had been to Florence before and knew around way around. What was still missing in my portfoloio were shots across the city from Piazzale Michelangelo, the awesome viewpoint high above the city.
Up there at the Piazzale Michelangelo I found them – and enjoyed the awesome atmosphere of an early morning in Florence. In the distance there was a bit of mist, preventing a totally clear image, but one of the key attractions is perfectly visible: Ponte Vecchio. Lovely.
