The story behind the image
Vancouver in British Columbia has a rich maritime history. So, erecting their conference center Canada Place near the harbour was a good idea. But its architecture is truly awesome as it resembles a tall ship. The architects even added large sails to the roof top, underlining this uniqueness.
In this photo, I captured just the sails with a tele lens, highlighting this detail while at the same time removing distracting elements below the roof.
Wanna see more? Here’s the fantastic skyline of the city, and Canada Place is most certainly an eye catcher.
