The story behind the image
In June 1999 Petra and I were invited to a two-day conference by Ericsson’s mobile phone unit. We had not been to Sweden before, and we were stunned by the activity on the streets during summer. Having said that, it was midsummer, the peak of summer for all Swedes. We were exploring the city after the evening event, and while it was quite late – probably 11 pm – the blue hour was still in full swing.
However, in this photo, shot from Norra Riddarholmshamnen opposite of the city center, it was really an orange hour. 🙂 The sun had set a while ago, but the after-sunset glow was still magnificent.
Lovely.
