The story behind the image
This sturdy yet comfortable Renault Mégane Scénic has been our companion for our three week trip to Ireland in 1999. I had forgotten my driver license at home, so poor Petra had to drive me the entire three weeks!
Of course, I would have loved to capture an image showing the car surrounded by a herd of sheep. Stereotypical, yes, but also quite funny. We never found that herd of sheep. The closest we got were a couple of sheep on a highway – and this image on a gravel road, also in Co. Sligo. Not impressive, I know, but at least it shows our nice car.
I really like the contrast between the red car and the green grass.
