The story behind the image
Vancouver Island in British Columbia is full of awesome views and maritime flair. When we stayed in Victoria we also did a side trip along the western coastal route, towards Sooke.
This image shows Cheanuh Marina and Beecher Bay with its shimmering surface. The area has changed only slightly over the past two decades, and I still can feel the excitement when I was driving along the winding East Sooke Road.
