The story behind the image
A strong wind was blowing when we were exploring the northern part of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. We stopped at Loch Fada for several photos. This image shows the Loch from its southern end. In the back you can see The Old Man of Storr, the needle-like rock formation which measures 50 meters (165 feet) in height. The mountain is 718 meters (2358 feet) high.
I especially like the traces of the wind on the surface of the Loch, perfectly illustrating the rough weather conditions. But we were happy as the sun was shining!
Lovely.
