The story behind the image
This morning I shared a fun shot of our recent trip to Tuscany in Italy. We spent our first week at the Casa Elisa in Alberi near Montaione. Here’s a more serious, yet also beautiful shot.
Next to the pool is a large, old garden with countless olive trees and many other plants and flowers. The entire property is well maintained, and the owners spend a lot of time trimming everything in the garden.
One late afternoon I placed the sun behind a large tree and selected an aperture of f/22. This resulted in the beautiful, star-shaped sun that beams through the top of the tree.
Love it.
