The story behind the image
The Scottish coast between Fraserburgh and Elgin is extremely beautiful. You’ll have beaches, towns, cliffs, secluded villages, lighthouses, golf courses. Countless photo stops slowed us down, so it took us almost a day to get from Rattray Head to Elgin, a distance of just 70 miles!
This is Cullen Bay with the huge beach that sits between Cullen and Portknockie in the distance. Very nice.
Update 10-JUN-2023 – In the original post, I erraneously labeled this image as showing Banff Bay in Scotland when it really shows Cullen Bay. Thanks to reader Ailish Sinclair for making me aware of this mistake.
