The story behind the image
Today is Italy’s National Day. I’d like to contribute this image to the celebration: a magnificient sunrise, watched by tourists at the pier and captured by me from the beach. Even if the sun rises every day, everywhere, few locations reliably offer such beautiful sunrises as the Adriatic Coast of Italy does. And this is in itself already a reason to celebrate. Add to this Italian hospitality and lifestyle, and you know why we will be celebrating today as well. 🙂
