The story behind the image
When in San Francisco, one of the (many) attractions is Fisherman’s Wharf, and the best way to get there is on the F Market & Wharves line. It’s an interesting line, because just historic trams from around North America and Europe are serving this line. As a passenger you might get a car from Milan in Italy that carries still all the Italian instructions (plus some English translations.)
When we visited Fisherman’s Wharf, we got the streetcar # 1007 which had been originally operating in Philadelphia. Short before its arrival I shot this photo.
