The story behind the image
In 2017 we visited the village of Niendorf close to Lübeck in Germany. It is a small community that has everything you’d expect from a summer destination: a beautiful beach, restaurants, small shops, a supermarket. But it’s not super vibrant and busy like its bigger neighbors, Timmendorfer Strand and Travemünde. In a way, it’s a diamond waiting to be discovered – and perfect for us.
One late afternoon we went to the small harbor to get some good fish for dinner, and I captured this maritime impression. Nothing spectacular, but very nice. In my view.
