Crown Plaza Helsinki
When we visited Helsinki for the first time, this hotel was still called the "SAS Radisson Hesperia Hotel", and it was very very good. We stayed once more at the new Crowne Plaza Helsinki and can confirm that the quality is still the same, if not better. The hotel is located directly at Töölönlahti with nice views and convenient access to public transport towards the town center. Taxis are waiting for you in front of the hotel. Also, the airport bus has a stop not far away, so it is easy to get from and to the airport! The rooms where quiet, the staff is friendly and helpful, the food was great. What more can you possibly want?
The Zanzig.com Rating: **** (very good)
The Hotel KlausK is located in the center of Helsinki allowing for easy access to all the attractions of the city. It has a weird name, that suggests "design hotel", and the hotel certainly matches this idea. In the hotel, you are greeted by a lot of exquisite wood and stylish design. The rooms are quiet and absolutely above average business hotels, even good ones. Like most of the Finns, the people are friendly and helpful.
If we had to chose between the KlausK and the Crown Plaza, we would certainly go for the KlausK - hence the 5-star-rating.

The real finnish experience is Thursday evening. That's THE night when everyone goes there. Expecially
the Finnish bar is quite an experience - you have the chance to witness how shy the Finns are! :-)
