The Century Plaza is a good all-round hotel close to Vancouver's city center. Our room was modern, quite big, and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We think this is a good start for your journey to British Columbia, so we do recommend this hotel to you.

312 pages full of tips, maps and information, covering our whole route. Unfortunately, this fantastic and incredibly helpful book is not available as new book any longer, but you get used copies at Amazon. This is by far the best travel guide I have ever seen, and even if it is more than a decade old by now, I do not think that the information is too outdated. Phone numbers may change, true, but the locations and the descriptions of the attractions won't, so the maps will still be very helpful for you both for planning and while on the road. GET THIS BOOK.

Your ticket is valid for a full day, so if you purchase a ticket in the morning, you will want to return throughout the day to see how the light has changed the outlook.
